News & Project Updates

[March 20, 2008] After going through the Landmark Education course, we learned a great deal about the world we live in and how to create possibilities that will increase our integrity, maintain a healty lifestyle and be proactive. Our goal at iaps is to increase productivity and efficiency while being compliant to industry standards. Thus, we have begun work on a new project that will help anyone and everyone with important aspects of daily life...including money!

We have yet to mention our new project base called actpath. Actpath is being developed to help people with daily functions and activities; loving life, getting the most out of your time, managing your money, providing motivation and additional information to better yourself and the world around you. Estimated date of release (including all sub-projects): July 4th, 2008.

If you believe you have too much to do on a daily basis, consider this: "You can get the things done that you need to have done by doing the things you don't need to do less." We all watch TV...well, most of us at least, not myself though. But we do other things like play on the computer and such. We all need some time to play/relax but we need to keep it in moderation.

For now, let me leave you with 2 things to do: 1) Tell yourself 1 thing you are thankful for today, and 2) create a possibility of doing something and DO IT! For example, if you haven't talked to someone in a while and you really want to, create the possibility that you will call them and talk to them for at least 10 minutes. "Thinking about doing something isn't worth the time...taking action and doing something is always worth it!"

[February 23, 2008] Finding time it is! Unfortunately making time is out of the question. We apologize for our lack of integrity regarding our new website and projects in development; they are taking much longer to release than we anticipated. Our work-load is quite overwhelming and we only have so much time to work on our projects. Here are some key points that will quickly help you to understand our overall situation:

  • At this time, there is no guarentee of when our projects will be finalized and released. We will be making a lot of project source code (...for Ticksys, Manage & ManagePro) available for public use and revisions on our new website; which will be released at an undetermined time.
  • iaps.tbox is currently down and will remain out of service for an unestimated amount of time. All of the private client information can still be acessed via iaps.Manage with your username and password.
  • We are still servicing current clients and welcome new ones.

[January 29, 2008] Finding time, or making time? We all need to get lots of things done and some of us feel there is just never enough time -- thankfully time is just an illusion. We are currently configuring our tboX with apache HTTP-Server running on Ubuntu. We need a specific setup for one website suite we are working on and we are having slight difficulty setting everything up correctly. We plan to have our server up and running by the end of next week.

RE: New Website! We have worked through many possibilities, 8-12, and we have finally decided on this (layout-demo) for the time being. Enjoy! -- As you may see, we have finally moved from table-based layouts to div-based. There is only 1 minor detail that needs attention regarding cross-browser compatibility; but we won't tell you which part. The great thing about our up and coming site will be the ability to change the entire website color-scheme and tool-boxes that can be moved (left and right side sections). We will also be introducing our Research & Development department with upcoming productions and our Contr!bute center!

[January 24, 2008] We would like to thank Stream International for awknowledging our superior quality of work and ease of use which promoted our on-site software suites to WorldWide software suites; developed in 2006.

[January 17, 2008] The release of our new website has moved to February 12th. We are still contesting over the layout of the site and hope to introduce some very cool customization options. Our test server's hard drive failed about a week ago but we successfully installed a new one (320GB) yesterday. We hope to have the server up and running by the end of this weekend; with Apache: HTTP Server, Tomcat & PHP/MySQL running on Ubuntu Linux.

[January 04, 2008] tBox is down until Monday or Tuesday of next week for hardware upgrades. The PSU was continuously spinning and stopping so we turned the server off and transfered all the hardware to a new (prettier) case which is now awaiting an additional gig of ram and new PSU. We also added a very old video card to the system to make local scrolling of information a little more seemless. A hard drive upgrade is being considered but is not imparative at this time. Our current is only 80-gig, connected via IDE; our SATA connector on the motherboard failed a year ago.

We have a new website layout coming soon! The layout will remove our Knowledge Base section of our site and add a Getting Started section for the newbies of Website Marketing and online sales. Although this upgrade will not be graphically pleasing, the content and added customization should make up for it. The upgrade will be implemented quickly and no downtime is expected. The site is scheduled for release February 10, 2008.

[December 20, 2007] Our testServer (tbox) has been re-located (static ip address now, too); which has increased download speed by 100%. Hardware upgrades coming soon! Browse to our server: http://208.97.108.74/ for more details.

[December 18, 2007] Happy Holidays everyone! We will be closed from December 23rd to the 26th and re-opening on the 27th. We are also planning on a few upgrades during the weekend following. Drive safe and take care.

[December 09, 2007] WoW! Almost a whole month has gone by. One of our programmers is now working fulltime for a company based out of Byron, Ontario called Penta Performance where he is providing web marketing and software development solutions. Most of our project development has been put on hold for time being but we are still servicing current, and accepting new clients so please don't hesitate to contact us. Regarding our test server, you can view the mark-up here: http://99.248.191.229 (codename: tbox); we have yet to attach a domain name to it yet, but we plan on doing so in the new year. Please contact us if you would like to register for a file-storage ftp account; for full details, please go to the tbox website. We'll try to keep you up-to-date a little more frequently from now on.

[November 18, 2007] iaps.TestServer completed @ 21:12.

[November 18, 2007] iaps.TestServer update! We are having issues between PHP and MySQL. For some reason we are getting some wierd errors; Dynamic Library not found, Fatal Call to mysql_connect(), and simple scripts not being displayed. We are in the process of reinstalling Windows Server 2003 again and giving it one more go. When we finally have everything up and running we will write up a quick tutorial: Configuring MySQL and PHP on WIndows Server 2003 (IIS6). (currently 17:50)

[November 18, 2007] iaps.TestServer update! After a lot of uninstalling and reinstalling programs in attempt to get PHP to work with MySQL, we decided to reinstall Windows Server 2003 and re-work everything from a fresh install. We plan to have the server up and running again within the next hour or so. (currently 08:54)

[November 17, 2007] iaps.TestServer is up and running! We originally planned to use Ubuntu Linux but later switched to Windows Server 2003 considering the FTP issues we were running into. It currently supports ASP, PHP and Frontpage extensions; we plan to add MySQL over the weekend. We thank you for your patience while our hardware and system were being re-configured. TO OUR CLIENTS: You may browse your home directory on our iaps.TestServer by logging in to iaps.Manage and clicking on Information Management > Test Server.

[November 09, 2007] Our new hardware arrived yesterday and we've been working hard to get our iaps.TestServer back up and running. We expect to have everything working by Monday morning, but there are no promises. The current server-interface really needs an update and some security measures put in place; which is why this process may take a while. We intend to implement an interface much like our iaps.Manage project but with much revision for server-side options; turning it into an application much like CPanel (world-wide, web-server management console). Although our server may be running by Monday, this software will not be implemented for a few weeks.

[November 04, 2007] iaps.TestServer is OFFLINE! Our internal network hardware has finally decided to give up, after 10 strong years of service. Recently, we have noticed a decrease in performance (up/down-time) and issues with our iaps.TestServer connectivity. We have put in an order to replace and upgrade some of our current hardware. We should have our test-server and internal network back up and running by the end of the week, at the latest. This upgrade does not effect any of our clients information or website but it will enhance our hardware, tremendously (including a brand new 500GB back-up hard drive). Our test-server will be re-installed and re-implemented using Ubuntu Linux running Apache, MySQL, PHP and PERL.

[October 31, 2007] End-of-month news time! Organization is key, so here is a quick list of things we're working on and in the order of release (which will hopefully be soon):
- iaps.Manage (client administrating self application)
- iaps.ManagePro (company administrating self and clients application)
- iaps.AwesomeCMS (no details will be released on this application, but it is in the planning stages; and it's top secret!)
- we are also working on cleaning up our own website. A new marketing campaign is in effect and this site may undergo some major changes to the front-end; getting started procedure steps, interactivity, flash, etc. We are even considering switching to a div-based layout versus our current table-based, but there's no real need for that right now.

We decided to postpone the Microsoft Vista troubleshooting documentation in our Knowledge Base. We may remove the Knowledge Base section completely, or turn it into a full-scale news-bulletin. We are still very undecided but feel strongly that this section needs to either a) get bigger, or b) get gone...

[October 26, 2007] We have put together a quick informative document concerning website privacy, regarding your email address! This article was inspired by all of the people asking why email addresses are hardly ever posted on company websites anymore...

[October 19, 2007] XML is becoming a major part of iaps.Manage. Considering this, we are working on a full class of transformation functions that will permit easy creation, updates and display of XML files. When this class is complete, we will make it available for download.

[October 04, 2007] We are pleased to introduce iaps.ManagePro! This new project will replace our iaps.cConsole and will provide many benefits to online businesses; including: client management, transaction processing, employee scheduling and much more! This application will be released shortly after iaps.Manage but it will have the ability to work in paralelle with it. This means that iaps.Manage and iaps.ManagePro will be used to manage and organize almost every aspect of our website and business practices.

Considering how felixble this system will be, the browser & database compatibility, security and user-friendliness, we will be making this package, and individual projects, available to you; for company integration. We look forward to telling you more once the project starts its re-development of iaps.cConsole.

[September 30, 2007] iaps.Manage update! A visual demo has been released with minimal customization options, but detailed enough to show you what you get! Read more...

[September 28, 2007] With the PHP upgrade, and added security it provides, we came across a few issues with our coding; which essentially prohibited users from only being able to see our sites homepage. It was a quick 10 minute fix and everything should be working properly. If you notice any problems with our site, please submit a bug report.

[September 25, 2007] The server upgarde is complete. We now have to wait for the nameservers to populate throughout the web.

[September 24, 2007] DOWNTIME!? We will be moving our domain to a new server within the next few days, which may result in some downtime. This transfer is required to upgrade our currently implemented PHP 4.4.4 up to PHP 5.2.4; making use of the newly added Object-Oriented security features. This problem was noticed when we loaded our iaps.Manage project from our local test server to our web server; producing many errors. *giggle* We assumed our web server would have its' PHP version up-to-date.

This also means that iaps.Manage - Account Management is down until our server transfer is complete. We thank you for you patience.

[September 15, 2007] UPDATE! We have completed the layout and navigation aspects of our iaps.Manage (Account Management Console) project. We hope to have a working demo up in the next few days. So far, this application runs successfully with Opera 9, FireFox 2, Safari 3 and Internet Explorer 7.

[September 14, 2007] We began development of our new and improved Account Management Console: iaps.Manage, a few days ago and we are well on our way to bringing it live. Click here for a first look at iaps.Manage's home page. We will keep you updated on our progress.

[September 06, 2007] We have updated our website with lots of new information, so browse around at your leisure. We will be coming out with a new Server-System in the next few days as well!
